| In 1992, Matt Wagner wrote a 3-part Batman story for D.C. Comic's "Legends of the Dark Knight." The story was entitled Faces and centered around the plans of Harvey Dent (aka: Half-face). Aiding Harvey is a group of circus-type side-show "freaks." One particularly attractive character is a French-woman, Manon. In Part 3 of Faces, we discover that Manon is indeed the proverbial "bearded lady," and as such she looks remarkably like -- MATT?!?! Well -- the story IS called FACES! Notice the Yin-Yang earrings, which symbolize the polar opposites of Black/White, Female/Male -- each distinct, yet containing some part of the other in itself. | |
