Issue 9 opens with Isis, Magda, and Ishtar covening...
The three witches Siren Song has a noticable effect on Joe and Kevin while Wally Ut grumbles about the excess hoopla and trappings of "Witch Magic." He then lectures Kevin to beware of the witches' charms.

Meanwhile, Isis tries to figure out the nature of the supernatural threat the heroes face ... when she's not too busy fighting the present "threat" of Wally Ut. |

The energys released by Kevin and Magda's kiss gains the immediate attention of the Pale Incanter, who decides to wait until the hero makes his location known again before taking action. |

Later, Kevin and Joe head out to patrol the cemetary on the hill. Kevin is still dazed and confused from his kiss with Magda ... he even finds that Mirth is no longer leaving prophecys for him with his ATM withdrawals. |

Kevin decides to whip out the bat to work-out some built up tension and clear his head. This second release of energy catches the attention of the Pale Incanter who decides the time is right to attack. |
Joe and Kevin split up to patrol the cemetary hill for Nasties. While Kevin spends an uneventful evening, Joe meets up with an amorous Ishtar ... or rather a disguised Leahaun Sidhe - a succubus - who swiftly sinks her fangs into the unsuspecting hero. |
