As Issue #14 opens, the Avatars and Wally enter an arena containing the Man-Mountain of Dzosk. The Pale Incanter, the Umbra Sprite's son Emil gloats that the Pendragon will at last be defeated! The Golem carries a shield displaying Kevin's emblem upside down. |

As the Heroes battle the Man-Mountain, Wally Ut confronts Emil -- who seems to recognize him clearly! |

Kevin and Kirby bicker over who should battle the ogre. This proves to be a deadly distraction as the Man-Mountain catches Kirby unaware and skewers the Olympian on the same horn the hero had shattered off of it's helmet. |

But something goes wrong, as the Pendragon drives more power through to the fallen Olympian -- the bat lifts from his hands and shatters. Kevin staggers to his knees from the blast reaching out towards the remains of the bat... |
